If you have ever read my blog, it's no secret that our little Quinny (who is just shy of 9 months) is pretty adored around here.

Grandma's Biscotti

Back when I found the jackpot of some of my Italian Grandma's recipes, one of them was for this, biscotti. I was so excited to make it, and I decided that the perfect time was for my aunt, my grandmother's very own daughter, as she recovered from surgery in the hospital.  This was kind of a silly decision, since that is like making chicken pot pie for Paula Deen.

Remember the Pirate Party for little Jack?  Well . . . you can't really be a pirate without pirate garb.  Once again my Silhouette came to the rescue!

Put A Bird On It {First Attempt at a Sewing Project}

Look at my first completed sewing project!!  It's a tag blanket shaped like a bird for Quinn!  I'm fairly certain you were wondering.  All the hip babies have things with birds on them.  And Quinn is nothing if not hip.

When I went to my dad's house for Christmas I found the jackpot.  A cut out newspaper article with recipes from my Italian Grandmother.  She was the most amazing cook on the planet.  I know.  I'm biased.  And that sounds just crazy.  But she was.  It was as if she was this amazing scientist who had figured out the formula for how to get love into food.
