It's Friday! Cheers! {My Week In Instagram}
Whew.
It's Friday.
And I know that I've been raising a glass to different things each Friday. But this Friday, it really just is to the end of the week. Holy hell. What a week.

Happy Bloggerversary To Me and Three Giveaways!
Well, it's been a full year since I started blogging.
I actually hit that milestone last week, but I was elbow deep in Dulce de Apple Streusel Pies, freeing up Blogger space, Thanksgiving plans, and what was that last one? . . . Oh, right. Taking care of my kids.
Even though I'm not exactly on the ball with celebrating this anniversary, it is no less important to me.
I love blogging in a major way. Like, I've got it bad for blogging. Bad. I was about to make a bunch of cliched references to a teenage girl falling desperately in love with the bad boy, but that's . . . weird.
I feel like I have come a really long way in the last year. Care for a quick visual recap?

It's Friday! Cheers! {Friendsgiving}
Ok. We know it isn't really Friday. And I did briefly consider naming this post: It's Monday. Boo.
The reason for this very delayed post, and don't even try to deny that you weren't hitting refresh at wineandglue.com all day Friday, is . . . Friendsgiving!! Rather than blogging on Friday, I spend the day celebrating one of my favorite holiday traditions, Friendsgiving. What is Friendsgiving? Glad you asked.

Curried Tuna Melt
Blogger. You're on my list.
Up until now, we have been friends. Good friends in fact! I check in with you daily (sometimes minutely), and you supply me with a blank canvas to write my inane ponderings.
We had a good thing going.

Dulce de Apple Streusel Pie
There are a lot of good baking blogs on the internet. A lot.
I'm partial to this one, this one, this one, this one, this one, and this one. And can we even really talk about baking blogs without talking about this one?!?
And it's more than just their mad skills behind a camera, capturing every sugar crystal, every drip of caramel, every cross-sectioned swirl to the point where you gain half a pound each time you visit their blog.

Christmas Ornaments
I love Christmas ornaments. No really. LOVE.
One of my most vivid memeories of my childhood is waiting eagerly as my mom strung the lights on the tree so that I could help hang ornaments. In my memory, the lights are twinkling, Christmas music is playing, and after we finish placing them perfectly on the tree, we sip hot cocoa.
Now.
Who am I kidding?
My mom had three kids. And my parents were hippies. There wasn't a whole lot that was Norman Rockwell or perfect about my childhood (as wonderful as it was), but they did something when it came to decorating the tree that made it so . . . . perfect.
So when it comes to my own children, I take Christmas ornaments and decorating the tree pretty seriously. I actually do put on Christmas music, and I really do make hot cocoa.
I buy my kids (all my kids, even Elliot) an ornament each year. I'm carefully labeling them, and when I put them away in February when I finally manage to take down the tree, I pack them all away in bags labeled: Gavin, Elliot, Quinn. Some day when they move away (and I either do a dance of glee or take to my bed depending on how the next fifteen plus years go), I will send them with their Christmas ornaments. I imagine them rolling their eyes at me as I sniffle and hand them their box of special ornaments.
Anyway!!
I love ornaments.
And I love the idea of making ornaments for everyone special in our lives each year, making an extra three for my kiddos. There are so many great homemade Christmas ornaments out there!!

Bonbons, Giveaways, and Words of Wisdom
Good morning and Happy Monday!!
It's cold here. Seriously cold. Like my kid was complaining he didn't have mittens cold.
And I'm out of coffee.
But! There is good news on this Monday morning.

It's Friday! Cheers! {My Little Comedian}
It's Friday! You made it through another week!!
Hmmm . . . what should I lift my glass to this week??
The never ending supply of chocolate in my house thanks to Gavin's trick or treating adventure? Hardly. That chocolate is quickly becoming the bane of my existence.
My morning cup of coffee? I mean, it is the only thing that is getting me through the morning. The clocks fell back. My daughter did not.
Armour Etch? I really want to etch the crap out of everything.
My first etsy sale??? Maybe. I'll give that a half toast.
The end of political ads? Extremely tempting, but I have something better in mind.

DIY Purse Camera Bag {Tutorial}
Have I mentioned that my dear friend, Cathy, started a blog?
It's called Lemon Tree Dwelling. And for a new blogger, she's kind of killing it. (I'm probably too old to say that. Who am I kidding? I'm definitely too old to say that.)
Like me, Cathy is a stay at home mom. She's an amazing stay at home mom. I'm always hearing about these super fun and creative activities that she's doing with her kids. So, I was so happy when she started her blog. Not only was it something I thought she'd be really good at, but it was something for her.
Cathy just celebrated her birthday, and I really wanted to get her something to support this new endeavor. Something to show her how proud I am of her doing something for herself.

Warm Sausage & Kale Soup
Warm Sausage & Kale Soup that is delicious, healthy, and perfect for a rainy day or any day.
I hate snow.
No. I mean, I really hate snow.
I know so many people who stand back in awe at the first snowfall of the season. And I, who am normally so able to be wonderstruck by the beauty in nature see the first snow fall as . . . . well, as Mother Nature giving me the finger.

It's Friday! We've made it through another week!
And this week, I'm raising my glass to finally getting my etsy shop, Humming Bird's View, open!!
{In my head, there is a crowd standing on their feet and cheering with wild abandon.}
Why the name, Humming Bird's View, you ask?
