Cookie Butter Milkshake{tini} {Cookie Butter in Cocktail and Milkshake form!} | The delicious Cookie Butter taste in the form of a cocktail!
Even though I think it’s a little misleading to call myself a food blogger, for the sake of this post, let’s pretend I am one.
One of my all time favorite hashtags to use and to see is #foodbloggerproblems.  You know, the things that don’t really happen to a normal person, but the type of things that make someone who posts recipes for a living (can I call it that yet???) crazy!
Here are some of my own personal #foodbloggerproblems

  • Spent all day in the kitchen, and yet I have nothing nutritious to feed my family.  Cupcakes don’t count, right?  #buttheyhaveeggsandflour
  • I just spent the last three and a half hours of my life elbow deep in pie crust with fantasies of becoming the next Pillsbury Bake Off campion.  #imtotallywinning #dontburstmybubble
  • The shutter button on my camera is caked in . . . . cake (chocolate, icing, butter, candy melts, pasta sauce, whip cream, etc.)
  • Do I run the blender during nap-time and risk waking the beast?  Or attempt photos with the beast awake?
  • I don’t have the right color paper straw/plate/background material/coordinating napkins for this photo shoot
  • Can you eat eggs that have been photographed for an hour?
  • My BFF just posted the recipe that was all photographed and ready to go up #greatminds
  • I can’t find the right size martini glass at Goodwill
  • My pants don’t fit anymore
  • The foam core board I was using as a reflector just fell over and squished my picture perfect set up

The one for this week?  (Who are we kidding, more than half of those are from this week)

  • My family wants me to stop what I’m doing and open my birthday presents, but if I do that, my Cookie Butter Milkshaketini will melt and won’t look picture perfect #spoiled #princess

Oops.

When I was thinking about the perfect dessert post for my self-indulgent week of birthday posts, my mind immediately went to Cookie Butter.
If you aren’t familiar with Cookie Butter, it’s time to get on the band wagon, folks.  It’s like peanut butter, but take out the peanuts and put in cookies.  No I’m not kidding.  Greatest thing ever.  It can be found at Trader Joe’s as “Cookie Butter” or at WalMart as “Biscoff Spread.”  I’ve heard rumors that you can also find it at Target, though I’ve never seen it there.  And if you can’t find it, can I suggest Amazon?  Totally worth it.  (Click here for the Biscoff listing and here for the Cookie Butter listing)
I thought about all the magical desserts that I could make with Cookie Butter for like a month.  I was all set to go with one (that will probably be blog ready next month) when I thought, “A cocktail!!”
And the Cookie Butter Milkshaketini was born.
Shortly after her birth came the just as delicious and slightly more innocent younger sister, Cookie Butter Milkshake.
Both of these recipes are insanely simple.  But that’s kind of perfect for a birthday treat, right?

Sugar Cookie Cookie Butter Bars
Cookie Butter Milkshaketini
(serves 2)
  • 1 cup low fat vanilla ice cream (I like Eddy’s Slow Churned)
  • 1/2 cup Cookie Butter
  • 2 oz Cake Vodka (I like UV)
  • 2 oz fat free creamer
  1. Blend all the ingredients until smooth.  If you want it stronger, add more vodka, if you want it thinner, add more creamer.

Yeah, my pants don’t fit anymore either-hazards of the job! And yes, with the exception of worrying about waking up any kiddos-you’ve described my life to a T-especially the caked camera! Happy Birthday! Wish I were there to drink one (two) of these in your honor!

Cookie butter seems to be the coolest foodie fad right now, and I so wish they sold it here in Costa Rica. Sounds incredible! Great photos. Makes me really want to dive into that shake.

My son calls me the “Biscoff Queen” because I’ve been creating so many things with Biscoff lately. I have got to try this Cookie Butter Milkshake! I’m thinking a trip to the store for ice cream is in order… Of course, I’ve already got Biscoff in my pantry.
