So it’s no secret that I love food. I mean, it’s one of the reasons that Wine & Glue has become a little light on the glue. Which, PS, if you are thinking bout starting a blog, maybe don’t name it Wine & Glue if you want to blog about food. And not just because I already took that name. But also because inevitably when lovely blogging friends share your work on FB (which you will be super appreciative of), someone will comment “Ummmm . . . I’m definitely not eating something made of glue.”
So, I love food. And I love get togethers. And one of the things I really love about get togethers is the food.
But I especially love summer get togethers. It is so much fun sitting on our patio eating yummy food, sipping yummy drinks, and watching the kids run around in the sunshine. There’s something so satisfying giving them a bath at the end of a day like that and getting a dirt ring around the tub . . . . like they had that much fun.
So, this is a perfect dip for a summer get together! It’s super simple to make, delicious, and served up with veggies you can feel really good about it. I got this idea from Nikki over at Chef In Training, it’s genius! I whipped up the non fat cottage cheese in a small blender until it was smooth, added some Italian seasoning and then let it sit in the fridge for a few hours. Perfection. Low in calories, high in protein, and packed with flavor!
