Watermelon Margaritas | Delicious and easy, made two ways!
It’s time for another addition of things heard in my house. This time, Quinny Style.
“Gavin can’t have milk because he has a silly face.”
“Piper IS a doll!!”
“Ugh!! How many times do you have to tell me that?!?!?!”
“Gavin don’t talk to Piper, because I’m going to talk to Piper!”
“No! I’m going to change YOUR diaper!”
“Let’s talk about birthdays.”
“Princesses DO say ‘Poopy Diapers!!!'”
“I AM the boss of Piper, Gavin!”
“Can I smell your armpit?”
“Can I smell Piper’s armpit?”
“Do you want to smell my armpit??”
I don’t think I really have to explain the connection between my motor mouth threenager and these margaritas, do I??
I love this drink! Not just because it is delicious, but because it can be made two ways! If you like slushy frozen blended drinks, freeze up your watermelon and make it that way. If you prefer your margaritas over ice, then just blend it all up and serve it that way.
- 2 cups frozen cubes of watermelon (See notes)
- 1 TBSP agave syrup
- 2 TBSPs lime juice
- 3 oz tequila
- Blend all ingredients together until smooth, divide between two glasses and enjoy.
To freeze watermelon, cut into cubes. Place in a single layer on a wax paper lined plate. Once completely frozen, transfer to an air tight container and store until you are ready to use.
If you don't like blended margaritas, you can certainly blend fresh, non frozen watermelon, and then serve over ice.
