This {FREE} Thirty Days of Thankful printable is perfect for leading your family into the holiday season and bringing up conversations about gratitude.
So I think in an ideal world, I would be talking to my kids about gratitude on a daily basis. And . . . in a sense, I do. When they ask for ridiculous things they don’t need, I try to point out all the things that they already have, you know, like express gratitude for what you do have. We go pretty on the thank you’s in our house. If I get up from the dinner table to get you a glass of milk, you need to say thank you.
When my kids complain about not seeing their dad enough, I empathize, saying I wish I saw him more too, and then ask them to be thankful for how hard he works for our family.
But we aren’t typically that concrete with our kids, really having them consciously think about things that they appreciate, things they are grateful for, all the ways that they are blessed. Which kind of stinks, because I think that is such a quintessential thing to teach our kids, being thankful.
Sooooo . . . . I came up with this printable to do with my family for the month of November. We are going to print out a sheet for each person. Gavin can fill out his own, and Nathan and I will help Quinn with hers. I’m sure there will be days when it will feel like pulling teeth, and that it will be hard to make Quinn understand, but I love the idea that we are at least starting the conversation.

Lisa, I am SO in love with this. I try to remind my kiddos how much they really have to be thankful for, but honestly sometimes i need to remind myself. This list will be hanging on our fridge for the next month – thank you

This is such a wonderful idea! Thank you so much for sharing this template…just printed two for my youngest grankids and I just know they are going to be more thankful on December first than they are now. We recently discussed in Bible Study how we sometimes grumble and forget to praise.
Again, thank you for sharing such a wonderful idea
