How to Make Pizza on the Grill! This is our absolute favorite way to make pizza, and we do it once a week in the summer. Thank you Hamilton Beach for supplying us with the sweet new Hamilton Beach Gas Grill, 10-Minute Quick Assembly with 5 Burners and another one for one of you!!
You guuuuuuuuys! I’m so pumped about this post today! Hamilton Beach is hooking us both up! They sent me this absolutely sweet new 5 burner grill, and they are giving me another one to give away to one of you!!
So let’s talk about this great grill and then I’ll tell you all about my favorite thing to grill. Scratch that. Really the only thing I ever want to grill.
The Hamilton Beach Gas Grill, 10 Minute Assembly with 5 Burners is crazy easy to put together. I can’t say that Nathan got it together in 10 minutes {which, COUGH, could totally be attributed to user error}, but I can say that it was less than an hour and with absolutely no curse words . . . something I most definitely can’t say about our last grill.
Besides how quickly and easily this grill comes together, I love it’s sturdy design, the fact that it has a side burner, how easily it lights, and more than anything, how quickly it heats up! When we first turned it on, it made it to 450 in under 10 minutes. Seriously, that is my absolute favorite part about grilling season, how FAST it is! And this grill does not disappoint.
Okay. So let’s talk about my family’s favorite thing to make on the grill: Pizza! We have pizza off the grill once a week during the summer. We use our favorite pizza crust recipe and it comes together in about 20 minutes, which is faster than delivery people.
HOW TO MAKE A PIZZA ON THE GRILL
1. Start out by heating the grill to about 400, with all four of your burners on high. (The thermometer on this grill is so easy to read!)
2. Roll out your pizza dough and put it on a pizza stone. We really like this one. Add your sauce, cheese, and toppings.
3. Put the pizza on one far side of the grill, turn the burners under the stone to low, and leave the other two on high. Shut the grill and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes.
4. After cooking for about 5 to 7 minutes, rotate the pizza 180 degrees, shut the grill again and cook for another 3 to 7 minutes.
5. Check on the pizza. Lift up the edge of the pizza to make sure the crust is golden underneath. If not, cook for another 3 to 5 minutes checking on the pizza regularly. If the top is done, but the bottom isn’t, remove the pizza from the grill and keep it on the pizza stone for another 10 minutes to finish cooking the crust away from the heat.
CAUTION: When you remove the pizza stone from the grill it will be HOT. Make sure you use really thick oven mitts or have a hot pad on your table outside so you can quickly set it down. Pretty much every time we make this Nathan is running into the kitchen to set it down on top of our stove while his hands get super hot.

I have never had a grill. I think this is fabulous that a pizza can be made on a grill. I’d give anything to try this. I’m rural and the city is hours away. This would be great to get an even cook as my little electric stove is ancient and doesnt cook evenly.. God bless you for giving away a healthy way to cook and enjoy the outdoors.
