This Peach Sangria is super easy to throw together and something all of your party guests will love!
You guys, I don’t normally talk about the press trips that I go on, because I feel like that is sooooo boring for you. I’ve been on a whole bunch of them. Some you probably don’t even realize I’ve been on because any time a brand mentions a press trip, I *beg* them to let me make a recipe for my readers afterwards instead of recapping the trip in a blog post.
What is a brand trip you ask?
Usually it involves a brand flying me to their headquarters so I can meet their team, get a sense of who they are, what they are about, and what they hope to see come of our partnership. They often treat me to a nice meal along the way, and I have to say, I often really enjoy going on them if for no other reason than I feel like I do better in person than over the phone or on email. It’s a good way for a brand to get to know me.
This past weekend, I went on the brand trip to end all brand trips. I went with Yoplait to Chicago for a “Mom’s Weekend.” And no, they are not asking me to write this post, I receive no additional compensation for writing it. It was just so flipin’ amazing that I have to tell you about it.
When I got to my hotel room in Chicago, there was a swag bag waiting for me that included a cookie featuring my Wine & Glue logo. How amazing is that? The next morning they took us to a swanky restaurant for brunch and then had us think about a mom in our life who inspires us and we did a craft to make them a card. Then we went to a fun little boutique where they gave us money to buy a gift for that mom which they would then ship to her! After that we went back to the hotel where there was a spa. We had massages and manicures. Then we went out to a delicious dinner at Girl and the Goat (a restaurant I’d been dying to go to). Finally we went to see the comedy show, #IMOMSOHARD. Two amazing ladies who are also partnering with Yoplait and who made me laugh so hard I legitimately cried.
Never have I been treated so well by a brand. Ever. They talked about how they really have always wanted to be a support to women and how their new campaign this year (which I touched on a tiny bit in my first post for them Things No One Told Me About Parenting) is about supporting real moms. Dropping the judgement, and really being there for moms in the trenches. The weekend totally spoke to that. It was amazing.
And guys? Sometimes real moms need sangria at the end of a long day. I’m a real mom, ya’ll. I like my sangria. I realized (with shock and horror) at the start of summer that I’ve never done a Peach Sangria for you. That changes today, people! I made this with Birthday Cake Vodka (because it is amazing!) but if you can’t find that or don’t want to buy a whole bottle just for this recipe (but who are we kidding, it won’t be just for this recipe), then just use regular vodka.
Happy Moming, ya’ll!
- 1/2 cup birthday cake vodka
- 1 cup peach schnapps
- 1 750 bottle of moscato
- 3 or 4 peaches, sliced
- Combine the ingredients and chill for four hours or overnight.
- Serve cold.
