Happy FALL guys!!! It is officially the first day of Autumn and I could not be happier, because I love this time of year SO HARD. I’m also super psyched because I have been posting my fall content since the end of July (no lie) and getting so much flack for it on Facebook. But now we are officially in the season of pumpkin spice and all things caramel apple, so BRING. IT. ON.

Though, let’s be real. If you have been paying attention you know that I have been heavily posting all the fall things, even on the blog, for a while now. Just the other day I updated my Caramel Apple Cobbler, and I have a delicious pumpkin spice recipe coming next week. I have even been doing it on my other blog, Shake. Drink. Repeat.  I made some Pumpkin Pie Pudding Shots and a Caramel Apple Vodka Punch!

But I can’t leave Simple Joy out of the fall themed cocktail fun! So I have the best apple cider margarita recipe for you today!

WHAT DO I NEED TO MAKE A HARD CIDER APPLE MARGARITA?

I love this margarita recipe because it comes together with just a few simple ingredients!

  • Hard Apple Cider – you can find this in the grocery store near the beer!
  • Tequila – I use gold tequila, but silver would work just fine if that is what you have on hand.
  • Agave Syrup – You could also use this great simple syrup recipe or some honey that you have melted to make it runny and easier to integrate into the recipe.
  • Lime Juice – You need the juice of one lime, or about 1 tablespoon of bottled lime juice.

WHAT OTHER GREAT FALL COCKTAILS CAN I MAKE?

This is such a great fall themed margarita, but I love having a bunch of different great fall cocktail recipes in my back pocket!

Good luck with your detox! You can do it!
This is the best drink idea I’ve seen in quite a while. I mean that!

      Thanks Mir!

Oh my gosh, one day I was watching Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (don’t judge me) and their nutrition person said that carbonation in drinks causes cellulite and I swear I felt like the entire world had just come crashing down on me. Ugggghhhh, I drink sparkling water and diet soda all day, every day. I gave up all carbonation for a solid 2 1/2 days before realizing I just couldn’t go on like that.

I wish you tons of luck! Giving up diet soda just sucks.

Totally making these soon. I’ve been addicted to the Apple-Ahhh-Ritas by Bud Light recently but this sounds even better!

    • Lisa Longley says

So far so good, but OMG I want a Diet Coke so bad at nap time everyday!! Also, these were totally inspired by the Bud Light version, lol!

  3. Dorothy @ Crazy for Crust says

Then what is my excuse???? I already barely drink it! LOL

I want a vat of these right now. Oh man, I have cider in the fridge. (Although as my mom pointed out to me the last time we saw each other: “You know, your nana had weight in the middle from all her drinking” as I sat guzzling my wine. :)

    • Lisa Longley says

      LOL!!! And OMG, #unhelpfulmomcomments

  4. AMBER says

My favorite half of a sentence you’ve ever written:
I screeched to a stop with my big muffing top and said, “WHAT THE WHAT???”

Thanks for a laugh, friend. I could work on paperwork while pumping, however facebook liking is more important.

    • Lisa Longley says

LOL!! Thanks Amber!! Sometimes I forget that people actually read my blog . . . so I write ridiculous things about muffin tops. Thank goodness some people get my humor! :)

  5. Rebecca says

These caught my eye over at SITS! They look so refreshing, I might have to mix up a couple this weekend!

    • Lisa Longley says

They are so yummy Rebecca! They go down a little too easy ;)
