I’m so happy to be partnering with Sabra Hummus to bring you this delicious and easy Friendsgiving snack.

Should we start talking about holiday entertaining?! I love making recipes for you around this time of year that are perfect for sharing with people you love. It’s kind of my jam.

One easy addition to holiday entertaining is charcuterie boards. They are kind of hot right now and for good reason. They aren’t difficult to throw together and they end up looking so pretty.

HUMMUS CHARCUTERIE BOARD FOR FRIENDSGIVING

One of my favorite get togethers this time of year is Friendsgiving. There is something about getting together with friends that fills my heart with joy and makes me truly grateful for these people that I’ve chosen to be family.

I also love how it is basically a creative spin on Thanksgiving. Twists on recipes aren’t just welcome, they are kind of perfect for Friendsgiving.

I thought a unique charcuterie board with twists on hummus would be perfect for Friendsgiving.

My creative little spins on hummus are perfect for fall and they were made with my favorite, Sabra hummus. I love that hummus is a great stand by, just like Thanksgiving, that is perfect to make spins off of, just like Friendsgiving!

CRISPY LEEKS & BLUE CHEESE HUMMUS

The leeks in this recipe combined with the rich flavor of blue cheese is perfect for a fall celebration.

For this recipe you will need Sabra Hummus and:

  • fresh leeks that are lightly fried in oil to become crispy
  • blue cheese crumbles

My favorite way to eat this one was with big slices of pear!

SAGE BUTTER MUSHROOMS AND HUMMUS

I love the flavor of sage, and am so sad that it only comes around in the fall. It is perfect with the earthy flavors of mushrooms, and goes magically with the hummus.

For this recipe, in addition to Sabra Hummus you will need:

  • butter
  • dried sage
  • baby portabella mushrooms

I loved eating this recipe with cucumbers and pita chips.

HONEY CRANBERRY PEAR AND HUMMUS

The sweetness of the honey in this recipe goes perfectly with hummus. The addition of crunchy pears and sweet little bits of dried cranberries are just the icing on top.

To the Sabra Hummus we will be adding:

  • a little bit of honey
  • pieces of crisp pear – be sure it isn’t over ripe
  • dried cranberries

This recipe was maybe my favorite, especially when paired with very salty pretzel flats.

TIP FOR SERVING

In the recipe card below I’m giving you ingredients to make each recipe. Depending on your bowl size you may need a little less to top your hummus.

That said, please keep extra of all of your toppings on hand so as your guests devour your delicious creation you can replenish it.

MORE GREAT FRIENDSGIVING IDEAS

If thinking about Friendsgiving has your creative juices firing on all cylinders, you are not alone. Friendsgiving is such a great time to make the holiday your own.

And Sabra Hummus is totally on board with that. In fact, they have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to the wonderful creativity that is Friendsgiving.

Hummus Charcuterie Board

Serves: 10 people
(tap # to scale)
Prep: 20 minutes
This Hummus Charcuterie Board is easy to throw together with three great spins on hummus. It's something your party guests will keep coming back to!

Ingredients

Crispy Leeks & Blue Cheese Hummus Bowl

  • 1 medium leek roots and dark green top cut off
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese plus more to add later
  • 1/2 cup Sabra Hummus

Sage Butter Mushroom Hummus Bowl

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup mini portabella mushrooms quartered
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 cup Sabra Hummus

Honey Cranberry Pear Hummus Bowl

  • 1 medium pear cut into slices and then cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries plus more to add later
  • 1 tablespoon honey plus more to add later
  • 1/2 cup Sabra Hummus

For Serving on the Hummus Charcuterie Board

  • hard cheese like Pecarino Ramano
  • pretzel flats (I got original and everything flavored)
  • pita chips
  • additional pear slices
  • cucumber slices

Instructions

To Make Crispy Leeks and Blue Cheese Hummus Bowl

  • Cut the leek in half length wise and then cut in very thin strips.
  • Add the oil to a frying pan over medium heat. Let oil get hot. Test it with one thin leek strip. The oil should begin to bubble intensely around it. If it does not, it isn't ready.
  • Add the leeks about 1/4 cup at a time to prevent crowding. Once they get medium brown, remove them with a metal slotted spoon. Repeat until you have about 1 cup of crispy leeks.
  • Top your hummus bowl with crispy leeks and blue cheese. As your guests work their way through it, add more crispy leeks and blue cheese to the top.

To Make Sage Butter Mushroom Hummus Bowl

  • Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat, add in the sage and whisk to combine.
  • Add mushrooms and sauté until mushrooms are tender.
  • Top the hummus bowl with mushrooms. Keep the left overs to top things off after your guests have worked their way through the hummus.

To Make Honey Cranberry Pear Hummus Bowl

  • Fill the bowl with hummus and top with honey, pear pieces, and dried cranberry.
  • Add more of all of the ingredients as your guests work their way through the hummus bowl.
