Okay, so to be fair, I’m only the slightest bit Irish. And my dad is such a cheeseball he turned our very Italian name, Russo, to O’Russo on St. Patrick’s Day. He is 100% Italian and has no claim to March 17th, but I must have inherited his celebratory spirit. Because I love St. Patrick’s Day!
Every year on March 16th my kids make a Leprechaun trap, certain that this will be the year that we finally catch that sneaky little jerk. Every year he makes his escape but not before leaving green foot prints every where and leaving a little present behind. Curious how the Leprechaun spoils children who are trying to catch him . . . .
I always want to make my kids eat green food on St. Patrick’s Day to celebrate, and they always freak out in protest, acting like I’m trying to poison them. So my friends and I got together to bring you the Top 10 St. Patrick’s Day Recipes to celebrate on March 17th without terrifying your children. Please note, my recipe is the Copy Cat Shamrock Shake . . . . and it’s green 😉
